Came here on a cold, snowy day when I was craving ramen or udon. I came with a group of friends and liked how the space is split. Half of it is a more traditional setup where you take off your shoes and sit in a wooden area, and the other half is regular tables and chairs. They are a popular sushi spot, but I went with the udon instead and it absolutely hit the spot. So warm, comforting, and exactly what I needed. One of my friends got the ramen and literally licked the bowl clean. Other friends ordered the lunch special bento boxes, which come with a nice little spread of sushi rolls, gyoza, takoyaki, and edamame. Overall, the food was good and satisfying. Service did slow down once it got busier, and there were only two waiters working, but they were really nice and doing their best. Huge plus for me was the bathroom. They have those fancy bidets like the ones in Korea and Japan

looking forward to a visit in the future, during a busy night, and try the platter 2; for the Bash roll. the miso soup is one of the best I've ever had. and their in house wasabi; it's not a paste and it readily dissolves in soy sauce. the food is presented well. and Savannah was very attentive and no stranger to the items on the menu, very helpful.
BEAUTIFUL restaurant - i was recommended Bash by a friend, and let me tell you - if you eat here you are going to have an amazing experience. They offer traditional seating, have a very extensive drink menu (cocktails AND mocktails) the establishment has great decor and the most important part… the SUSHI. the sushi is so amazing and fresh and this is honestly one of the best dinners I have ever had. Our server Kate was able to answer all of our questions, was very attentive and kind, being so professional yet personable at the same time. Bash, you’ve officially changed my mind about sushi. Before coming here, I was never really a fan—but one visit completely shifted my perspective. The sushi at Bash is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared, making every bite clean and satisfying. When it comes to specialty rolls, the Dragon Roll and Lion Roll easily stand out as my favorites so far. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. Bash offers two types of seating: the main floor features traditional table-and-chair seating, while the Japanese section provides a more authentic experience with floor seating on an elevated platform. Shoes are removed before entering, and guests sit at low tables without back support, adding to the cultural charm and laid-back vibe. Altogether, Bash delivers not just a meal, but a memorable dining experience. Parking is street parking so you will have to find it but it’s worth it!
Did omakase and I highly recommend doing this experience once. Make sure you come hungry though cause it’s 10 courses that are included. Make a reservation so you can sit in the tradition dining area.
Wow! This place. Great atmosphere and great food. We asked the server about the sakes and got an insanely in-depth answer which was super cool. I wish they would have a sake class on early morning weekends! Either going back for all my sushi needs in Detroit. Got 3 specialty rolls, 2 drinks and gyoza for $99.42. pretty good deal.
The sushi combination platters for parties of 2+ are highly recommended. Really enjoyed the warm sake 'Old Cabin' which was recommend by the staff. Recommend making reservations, especially if you want to try the traditional Japanese dining experience. They do offer omakase, but you have to make reservations in advance.
